Job Brief

MAI is seeking an experienced Submarine Officer for work in the development of advanced undersea warfare technologies. The work includes support for test and evaluation of advanced technologies and involvement in the development of new technologies. The work supports development and refinement of U.S. Navy submarine, surface ship and aircraft ASW systems.

Responsibilities

  • Undersea Security Program sea test coordination
  • Test Planning, execution, and post-test analysis
  • Test Director for shore based and At-sea testing
  • Support for the design of advanced sensor and combat system capabilities

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years or more operational experience on a US Navy SSN, SSGN and/or SSBN
  • A former Submarine Officer
  • Engineering, Science, or Mathematics Degree
  • Eligible for DOD Top Secret security clearance

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Served Submarine Department Head
  • Graduate degree
  • Eligible for access to sensitive compartmented information (SCI)

Travel

  • Travel will constitute approximately 20% of the duties associated with this position

Sonar Systems Acoustic Analyst

Job Brief

Marine Acoustics, Inc. (MAI) is seeking an experienced STS, STG, AW and/or IUSS operator to support acoustic analysis efforts, at-sea/ashore test & evaluation events, to support at-sea/ashore testing, development and refinement for AI/ML projects supporting U.S. Navy aircraft and IUSS ASW systems. You would participate in working group environments to support the development of cutting-edge technology.   • Conduct acoustic analysis on various sensors with GOTS software
  • Support NAVSEA, NAVAIR and Warfare Centers on ASW and sonar related projects
  • Support the development of AI/ML projects for various ASW sensors

Required Qualifications

  • A former rated U.S. Navy STS, STG, AW and/or IUSS Operator
  • DOD Secret security clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Navy NEC T42A (0501) Master Sonar Technician (Submarines) with IUSS experience
  • Navy NEC V44B (ST-0417) ASW Specialist with IUSS experience
  • Navy NEC G07A: P-8A/P-3C Acoustic Systems Specialist Aircrewman
  • Navy NEC 712B (0507) IUSS Master
  • TS//SCI eligible

Travel

  • Travel will constitute approximately 10% of the duties associated with this position
